Osian Pryce secures victory at the Severn Valley Stages of the Probite BRC

Osian Pryce stormed to victory at the Rallynuts Severn Valley Stages, putting himself in contention for a second Probite British Rally Championship title. Pryce, alongside co-driver Rhodri Evans, clinched their first rally win of the season in their Michelin-shod Ford Fiesta Rally2. They overtook early rally leader Chris Ingram to secure the win by a 20-second margin over William Creighton. Ingram, driving a Volkswagen Polo GTi, completed the podium, shaking up the title race with two different winners in two rounds.

The event attracted a star-studded entry list, featuring over 62 miles of challenging stages. Pryce's dominance on stages like Myherin and Hafren Sweet Lamb thrilled the thousands of fans lining the route, evoking the excitement of Wales Rally GB.

Ingram initially took the lead, but Pryce swiftly seized control, winning all remaining morning stages and heading into service with a comfortable lead. However, setup changes adversely affected Ingram's performance, causing him to slip back behind Creighton and Liam Regan in the afternoon. Despite a strong comeback attempt by Creighton and Regan, Pryce maintained his lead to clinch the victory.

The action in the Junior British Rally Championship was just as intense as the top-flight category but it was the young Scottish ace Robert Proudlock who secured his very first Junior BRC victory.

In the Open Rally John Rintoul and Ross Hynd put their torrid opening round behind them to seal the Open Rally Title top score in their Ford Fiesta R5.

The second round will be broadcast on ITV4 and ITVX on Wednesday 24th April at 20:00 and repeated at 08:00 on Sunday 28th April.
